On May 19, the Ukrainian Centre at Vytautas Magnus University hosted the interactive workshop “Finding Opportunities Abroad” led by HR professional and mentor Solveiga Jaskunas.
Solveiga Jaskunas is an experienced HR specialist and mentor with more than fifteen years of experience working in both nonprofit and business sectors. She has spoken at numerous national and international events, including HR Global Summit, Women in Tech Global Conference, SHRM Talent, HR Week Lithuania, DisruptHR, and The Expat Women Summit.
The event brought together participants interested in international career opportunities, professional development, and improving their confidence in English-language job interviews. During the session, attendees explored practical aspects of searching for work abroad, learned how to better understand employers’ expectations, and discussed the importance of building a strong personal brand on LinkedIn.
During the workshop, Solveiga also shared personal insights and practical tools that have helped her navigate international professional environments and build a successful career across different contexts.
A particularly valuable part of the workshop was the practical interview session, where participants had the opportunity to practise interview skills in English and receive individual feedback and advice.
We sincerely thank Solveiga for the inspiring and open conversation, valuable advice, and the warm atmosphere created during the meeting, and invite everyone to join our future meetings and workshops with experts at the Ukrainian Centre.
