Easter is a holiday that brings together families, generations, and Ukrainian traditions. Today, however, it has taken on an even deeper meaning for each of us, becoming a symbol of our faith that Ukraine will overcome these terrible hardships and be reborn into a new, peaceful life. Being far from home, we feel more strongly than ever the need to stay connected, which is why it is so important for the Ukrainian Centre to create a space where Ukrainians can come together, maintain ties with their culture, and support one another.
With this purpose in mind, on 11 April the Ukrainian Centre was filled with the spirit of Easter, warm smiles, and the joy of gathering together. The highlight of the day was the Easter Charity Fair, where artisans, volunteers, and Ukrainian entrepreneurs showcased handmade crafts, jewellery, books, and delicious treats.
A festive concert programme, featuring inspiring musical and dance performances by creative groups and students of the Ukrainian Centre, created a warm and welcoming atmosphere while leaving guests with unforgettable memories. Children enjoyed creative workshops and interactive activity zones full of surprises, while adults and families captured special moments together in the festive photo area, preserving warm memories of the celebration.
Once again, this day proved that distance does not weaken our bonds. Shared faith, creativity, and mutual support make us stronger and help us overcome every challenge together. We sincerely thank all our guests, volunteers, performers, artisans, partners, and everyone who contributed to organising this event. Thanks to your dedication, the Ukrainian Centre continues to be a place of strength where the community can come together and support one another. Thank you for celebrating this special occasion with us, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
